Ce cru prestigieux a donné son nom à la ville de Nuits, avant tout par son sol particulier, rocheux, caillouteux, drainant, composé de cailloux bathoniens variés (prémeaux, oolithe, comblanchien). La cuvée Georges Faiveley bénéficie d'une vigne d'âge moyen de 55 ans, peu sensible aux aléas climatiques, avec une structure tannique très présente, et nous propose un vin d'une grande élégance, avec un nez intense qui demandera encore quelques années, et une bouche puissante, riche de fruits noirs bien mûrs.

Presentation and tasting

The pestigious cru gave its name to the town of Nuits. It is above all a singular soil, rocky, stony, draining, composed of various Bathonian pebbles (Pemeaux, Oolite, Comblanchien). The Georges Faiveley cuvée is made from vines with an average age of 55 years that are not very weather-sensitive, with a very noticeable tannic structure, and offers a wine of great elegance, featuring an intense nose that will require a few more years, and a powerful palate, with a wealth of ripe black fruits.
